Stone Restoration Training Course FAQ

Of course you may use your mobile phone during breaks, before and after the course but they must be turned off during the course so we dont put other people off. It's just good manners nothing personal.     

 On courses such as our Two Day Natural Stone Restoration Course there may be up to 12 people from various locations and occupations. Customers have commented how nice it is on these courses to meet other people from within the Stone Restoration and Repair industry.

What is the dress code when attending a course at Marble Master?

A

We wish delegates to feel comfortable so for all of our courses the dress code is smart/casual. If you are attending a hands on course however it is advisable to bring any PPE that you have been issued with and to wear sensible, flat soled shoes.

It is advisable to have suitable boots for the practicle part of the course such as the grind and polishing but some smart casual clothes for the training room sessions.

Are refreshments available?

A

During any of our training courses there is a readily available supply of tea and coffee. A Buffet Lunch is always provided and any special dietary requirements can be catered for.

Will I have to sit a test or exam?

A

NO! None of our courses have any written tests, the most writing you will have to do is filling in your name. You don’t even need to take notes as, where needed, our courses are backed up with a set of handouts which are issued to everyone attending.

Will I be able to complete some stone floor restoration after attendence?

A

Absolutely! Our courses are design to get you started straight away. You can feel confident enough to get on with the job after the course. .we have a technical support line should you get into difficulty.

Can I use my Mobile Phone?

A

You may use your mobile telephone during the breaks but not in classrooms or the polishing unit as this may compromise health and safety.

What if I’m not actually a customer of Marble Master, Can I still attend?

A

You are still more than welcome to attend any of our courses. We train in a generic way and are happy to discuss any other products that you may use on your sites. Of course whilst you’re here you do get to see our chemicals and machinery in action. Please note we DO offer products for sale so dont be suprized that we do this it pays our wages.However, YOU do not have to buy.

What are the running times of your courses?

The majority of our training starts at 9.00am with a finish time of 4.30pm. When you book on to any course however you will be given exact times.

Do I Need To Pass An Exam?

Do I have to travel to you?

A

Not necessarily, all of our courses may be conducted at customer’s sites. This will depend on group size, environment etc but please contact us and we will endeavour to work around your requirements

How many other people will be on the course?

A

We keep the numbers low so everyone can get the attention they need to understand this system and process. The classes are never anymore than 5 people at our site.

Am I allowed to smoke?

A

Our Training Centre is a no smoking facility as are all of the buildings at all of Marble Masters sites. There are smoking shelters throughout the training facility grounds if you need a smoke.
